Shiretoko Goko Lakes are a core Shiretoko nature site. The Ministry of the Environment multilingual site explains the elevated wooden path and ground pathways, while the FAQ notes the season follows the opening of the Shiretoko park road, generally mid-April to mid-November, and that the area is brown-bear habitat.
